Hello and Happy Sunday! We are featuring a bright and cheerful color combination that Karla came up with for our Sunday Fun Day projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog today. I decided to use the super cute Sweet Songbirds stamp set for my card.
The color combination includes several In Colors: Pale Papaya and Polished Pink from the 2021-2023 collection plus the new Tahitian Tide from the 2022-2024 collection. I saw the cute balmy blue card in the Annual catalog (page 31) and decided to CASE it. I didn't have the same die that was used to cut out the circles, so improvised and use several circle dies from the Layering Circles die collection. I think I got pretty close, don't you? If you would like to purchase any of these products, be sure to hop over to my online Stampin' Up! store to place an order (don't forget to use Host Code 9KTH7QVD with your online order at checkout through August 30th). If your order is $50+ you also get to choose a free Sale-a-Bration item, too!
This view shows a little better how bright this Tahitian Tide card stock is - it's a little darker than the Tempting Turquoise that was retired a few years ago.
Here is a close-up look at the punched birdie - so cute! You can see in the upper corner that I crinkled and sponged on crumb cake ink for my little sign.
Here's one more look at my card. For even more color combo card ideas and inspiration, d on't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what Karla and Rachel created this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!

Hello and Happy Sunday! For this week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing projects featuring one of my favorite tools - PUNCHES!! I chose four punches for my card set above... read on to see which ones I used and more about each card. Both cards also feature the beautiful Hand-Penned DSP and the Friendly Hello (Sale-a-Bration selection) stamp set.
Please see above for the products I used with today's project. The four punches I used are shown above. Click on any photo above to hop over to my Stampin' Up! store to place an order.
Here is my first card. I used the Daisy punch to cut out a negative image (saving the cut-out for my next card). I loved the monochromatic pattern of this piece of the DSP in highland heather and it serves as the perfect backdrop. To add a little more interest to the flower cut-out, I used the Medium Daisy punch with highland heather card stock and offset layered the smaller flower on top with a single large rhinestone in the center. The sentiment was stamped with gorgeous grape ink and I added three smaller rhinestones randomly on the panel. I cut out a medium daisy flower from the DSP in the lower corner of the panel, which is hidden by the stamped piece, and glued it to the inside of the card.
And for my second card, I used the Daisy cut-out from my first card and added 3 more plus 3 cut-outs using of the Medium Daisy punch to build my flower (each layer was offset to show off the flower petals). I used the dark so saffron stampin' blend marker to color a large rhinestone for the center. The leaves were cut out using the Spring punch with mint macaron card stock. I used one full sprig on each side of the flower and then cut a third on in half and added them to each side of the daisy. I glued the pieces to the back of the flower and then glued it down to the DSP panel. The sentiment was stamped on a strip that I notched on each end using the Lovely Label pick a punch with misty moonlight ink and the little sprigs were stamped with mint macaron ink, mimicking the sprigs on the flower. Isn't this DSP pattern beautiful? I also glued a thin strip of DSP onto the inside panel for interest.
Here's one more look at my punch-y card set. For even more punch ideas and projects, d on't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog.

Hello and Happy Independence Day to all my American readers! For this week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog , we designed projects featuring a color palette of Red, White and Blue in honor of the July Fourth holiday today. I chose to make a birthday card (for America's birthday) and am featuring Basic White, Night of Navy and Real Red with Crumb Cake for my card along with a few punches.
From this angle I think you can see how shimmery the Opal Rounds are that I put in the centers of my flowers, created using the Daisy and Medium Daisy punches. I wanted to do flowers because it is summer, but also these kind of remind me of fireworks a little. Fireworks and July 4th just go hand-in-hand. I also just realized that the Itty Bitty Birthday set that I used for my sentiment has retired *after* I finished my card - big ooops!
Here's another view of the card front. I added texture to the Crumb Cake card stock using the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder and then sponged on top of it with Crumb Cake ink to make it more noticeable. I love the added texture!
Did you notice the sentiment piece? Wondering how I did that? I used the Everyday Label punch to cut out the sentiment sideways. Then I attached it to the back of a sticky note and fed it back into the punch as shown in the photo above. I love getting more versatility out of my punches this way!
For the inside of the card I just added some tiny strips of card stock (left over after I cut down my squares from 2" to 1-3/4") to break up all the white, and added the birthday sentiment with Night of Navy ink.
Here is one last look at my card. I hope I have inspired you to use your punches in different ways! Don't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for even more Red, White & Blue ideas and inspiration.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous 4th!

Happy Friday and thanks so much for checking in today! This week we are featuring one of my favorite line of products that Stampin' Up! carries for our Fabulous Friday cards over over on the Sisters in Stamping blog - PUNCHES! These tools are so versatile and make card-making a breeze. And when you use them in an unconventional way, like to make punch art, they're even more fabulous.
The card that I designed this week features two different punches - the Balloon Bouquet punch and the Decorative Ribbon border punch - along with the Bella & Friends stamp set, Garden Galore DSP stack and Subtle textured impressions folder for the Big Shot. Does the card seem kinda familiar? I had extra pieces on my craft table left over from my Card Club last month when they made this card, which was my Stampers Dozen blog hop card in August. A totally different card made from the same basic pieces - gotta love that!
What do you think of my 3D balloon? This is really simple to create and the layers fold flat for mailing. I started with a base of the smaller balloon cut from melon mambo card stock. Next, I punched out 5 layers of the smaller balloon cut from a piece of Garden Galore DSP. Each of these were folded in half (I did cut off the bottom notch of the balloon to make it easier to fold in half) and glued them back-to-back using Tombow multipurpose adhesive. The last two were glued to the base balloon. I easily added that to the stamped balloon image and voila - a 3D balloon. You may remember this beautiful Christmas ornament that I shared a few years ago - it's a similar idea.
I colored the images using stampin' write markers in crumb cake (Bella), flirty flamingo (Bella's collar), lemon-lime twist (parrot) and mango melody (parrot's beak).
And not forgetting the inside of the card I added a sentiment and the little parrot in the bottom corner. I glued another balloon cut-out next to the sentiment and drew the string for the balloon using a basic black stampin' write marker. You'd never know that wasn't part of the image!
Here is one more view of my card - I do love how this card turned out! For even more punch ideas please hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what my fellow designers created for your inspiration.

Happy Saturday! Once again I am a day late in getting this post published.
In honor of World Emoji Day on July 17th, Jennifer asked us to create a project featuring an Emoji for our Fabulous Friday projects for the Sisters in Stamping blog this week. I tend to use "Yikes!" smile face one a lot and thought it was perfect for a belated birthday card!
The face of my Emoji is cut from the new pineapple punch card stock using the largest circle from the Layering Circles framelits and the Big Shot. I sponged all around using pineapple punch ink to give it some dimension. The eyes were cut from soft suede card stock using a 1/2" circle punch. It is a little tough to see in this photo, but I scored the "teeth" on a strip of whisper white card stock then rounded the sides of the mouth using my 1" circle punch. I used the side of the soft suede brush tip marker to edge the mouth and ran a line down between the top and bottom teeth. I also drew in a little lower lip just under the teeth lightly, too. The balloons were cut out using the Balloon Bouquet punch and my new In Color 6" x 6" DSP stack. These fun new In Colors were perfect for this card! The sentiments are from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and hand-drew the strings of the balloons down to the end of the "D" in Belated.
Here is another view of my card - I think you can actually see the teeth in this photo! For even more Emoji project inspiration, please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what the other designers created this week.

Happy Friday! It's hard to believe that Mother's Day is just a week away! To provide you with some inspiration, Karla chose Mother's Day as our theme for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog this week. I chose to feature the Floral Boutique DSP because my Mom loves it... sorry that you're seeing your card ahead of time, Mom!
I used my Big Shot and new Large Letters framelits to cut out the "M's" but wanted to use a paper flower for the "O." Mine is made up of two layers of the pansy punch and two layers from the smallest flower of the Blossom Bunch punch. I curled the edges of each flower petal with my bone folder and attached the layers together using stampin' dimensionals to really make the flower 3D. I will be hand-delivering my card so not a big deal that it will barely fit in the envelope. Speaking of the envelope, I took a strip from the DSP and embellished my envelope as well as the inside of my card to really showcase the different patterns in this gorgeous paper.
Here's another view of my card. For even more Mother's Day card ideas and inspiration please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what the other designers created this week.

Sorry for the delay in publishing this post from Friday... it's been a busy week. Anyway, Happy Sunday and enjoy!!
Last week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog I asked everyone to design projects featuring my favorite color GREEN in honor of St. Patrick's Day.
My card started out as a four-leaf clover punch art for St. Patrick's Day, but I wasn't happy with how it turned out so those leaves became the bottom layer of my paper flower. I really like the way that turned out and love that just a few punches, whisper white card stock, some stampin' dimensionals and my bone folder made it come together pretty easily.
Here's a side view of my flower - it shows how dimensional this flower turned out... certainly not a card to mail, but hand-delliver. I used three punches to pull it together: Flower Medallion (bottom layer), Pansy (middle layer) and Petite Petals (top layer). Each layer had 2 flowers and I curled all edges up using my bone folder. Easy-peasy!
Here's another view of my card. For even more GREEN inspiration please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what the other designers created this week.

Happy Friday!! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing flower projects to beat the winter blues. I decided to make some fun paper flowers to decorate this basic black picture frame and added a great sentiment from the Rose Wonder stamp set on a textured piece of the white card board that comes with the designer paper stacks. I ran it through the Big Shot with the Brick Wall textured impressions folder. I love using In Colors and the combo here is flirty flamingo, peek-a-boo peach and mint macaron along with chocolate chip and whisper white. I love altering picture frames and adding a piece of stamped art to decorate my space.
Here's a close-up view of my paper flowers. I used several punches to create them: Pansy (largest layers), Petite Petals (smaller flower and inside of larger one) along with the Festive Flower builder punch for the leaves. The easiest way to create these is to cut all of your layers at one time (choose an odd number, they always look better) and mist the card stock lightly with water using the stampin' spritzer. When damp, the card stock is so much easier to crumple up - this gives it the awesome texture and breaks down the paper fibers so they're easier to work with and shape. I held all the layers together with a mini silver brad (retired) and shaped and spun the layers to create these fun flowers. They are held onto the picture frame using stampin' dimensionals. I love the way this looks on the bookshelf in my office - it reminds me that spring is right around the corner!

Happy Friday!! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are celebrating National Cherries Jubilee day (Sept. 24th) by featuring cherries in our Fabulous Friday projects. I decided to create some cute punch art cherries using Cherry Cobbler card stock (of course!) and was inspired by some super cute cherries that I found on Pinterest (see that pin here) from the Damask Love blog. I kept the card simple so the focus would be on my cherries - the Stylized Birthday single stamp is great! I just love the script font. And for some bling I added a few sequins that I cut from the silver sequin trim . My card club members are going to be making this card along with three other designs this weekend... I hope they like it!
Here is a close-up of the cherries - they were created using the 1" circle punch along with the Fox builder punch and some thick whisper white baker's twine that I colored using a stampin' sponge and garden green ink . The ink used for the stamp is chocolate chip because what goes better with cherries than chocolate?!?! I also added some highlights to my cherries using a chalk marker .
Here's one more view of the card. For even more cherry inspiration please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what the other designers created this week.

Happy Saturday (yes, I forgot to publish this post yesterday)!! This week we are featuring the theme of SUMMER in our Fabulous Friday projects today over on the Sisters in Stamping blog . I chose to use the Festive Birthday product suite with my card today - I just LOVE this DSP, it's soooo fun! And who doesn't love a Margarita and some yummy Mexican food?!
I created my punch art Margarita glass out of the Lots of Labels framelits and my Big Shot . The base of the glass is half of a 3/4" circle punch . I colored it using a mint macaron stampin' write marker and and sponged all edges with tempting turquoise ink. The salt-rim is dazzling diamonds glitter sprinkled on Tombow multipurpose glue.
Here's one more view of my card. For even more ideas and inspiration for your summertime cardmaking, please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what the other designers created this week.
